Been a while…
As with recent history around here, the posts are feast or famine — you’ve happened upon a night of feast. Congrats.
So much has been happening around our household that we’ve hardly had time to live through it, much less record it for posterity. As if having two great kids wasn’t enough to keep us busy, I eluded earlier to the fact that I took a new job — and I suppose it is a little more permanent now. Through faith, patience, and Larry’s sudden passing, I was well positioned to take over an office and some responsibilities for Schrader Real Estate and Auction Co. I finished up my RE license and passed the state exam in the past couple months as well. Fun stuff.
All the while Jill has been doing great things with our kids and helping some of our friends as well. I truly feel that even though it sounds like I have more going on, she is much busier and her work is much more taxing (and important!). I suppose it takes both of us to make things work around here.
Anyways, should any of you out there be wondering whether or not you can follow your heart and leave good jobs for the unknown… you can. If you’re wondering whether you can make it on one salary even though things might get tough… you can. If you’re wondering if you’re kids can turn out great if you just take the time to work with them and show them love… they will. So, get out there and do it! Make that change — stretch yourself. And then take a deep breathe because it will be a wild ride.
