My mother told me this would happen... she did -- just last week. She cut the article out of the paper that said cell phone numbers would be released to telemarketers and that I needed to register our phones. "They won't call me," I thought.
It took three days. It took three days from mom's advice to some young man struggling with the English language at 1-100-526 to call me. What kind of phone number is that anyway!?!?!
So do it. Go to donotcall.gov and register your numbers. It took two minutes. I should have done it three days ago (or earlier).
I wrote about this back in 2004 and now I guess we're covered until 2012.
