Farm Subsidy Database
As an update to my earlier post on Useful Web sites, here’s an update from the Mulch website on the 2007 Farm Subsidy Database:

A new feature of the website is a Google Maps mashup of where the payments go. I’ve included a map of Columbia City which is not as interesting as the maps of Park Avenue or Key West. The interesting part is that payments are going to farmers living in places where there are no farms.
This database is provided by the Environmental Working Group, a public interest research and advocacy organization.
