Writer's flock

Have you ever had the sensation that you really had something to say|write, but couldn't put a form to it? I have had that feeling for quite some time. It isn't at all that there aren't things to be talking about -- there are! So many great things, but somewhere in my head there is/are topic(s) lurking that I need to uncover and discover. Stay tuned. In the mean time I'll do a little exploratory blabberghasting:

I was sitting at work earlier this week -- my makeshift office is a large storage room -- when a "coworker" walked in to tell me that he was praying for me. "Thank you," I said, slightly taken aback. "What about?" My work at this point is somewhat tenuous in some respects. I don't really work for the company, I do work for them. I don't have paid benefits, I'm self employed. I don't know the future direction of our business together, I'm taking it one day at a time. This person recognized that these things, put together, might be a little unnerving and decided to hand it over to the Lord. I did that a long time ago, but it still plays on the nerves a bit.

I haven't felt too stressed, but last week between services at church I had my blood pressure taken (as I always do when the nurses are there). At 165/97, that makes three straight trips where the opinion has been that I need to see a doctor. I don't disagree with the prognosis, but haven't made an appointment yet. The funny thing (to me) is that my pulse is usually so low -- 43 bpm at this particular sitting. There is no doubt that there is stress in my situation. But what are you going to do? For me, I guess I'll just try and take deep breathes whenever I can, and give it over to the Lord. Well, that and take all the prayer my flock can get! (Thanks, Wes!)

Life is an interesting thing. I don't think you can make breakthroughs (personal or professional) without going through struggles. I feel like this path, while difficult, will lead to both.
