Something that I think is interesting is the way in which Bible verses are used in media. I see and read verses in a variety of places, and it is about time I started recording some of them.
This verse, Ezekiel 25:17, was painfully glorified in the movie Pulp Fiction. There is more to it, but for me this first portion speaks volumes.
The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the Valley of Darkness; for he is truly his brother's keeper, and the finder of lost children.
UPDATE: I've since come to realize that this isn't a direct quote from the Bible, but rather a conglomeration of verses. Best forget I ever said anything about it...
I would NOT encourage anyone to watch this movie. I had to turn it off part way through because of the violent content and foul language. Just because a movie refers to the Bible doesn't make it good to watch. (did it even refer to the Bible? I can't remember...) Perhaps there was a "good ending", but does the end justify filling our minds with the "bad" first?
Kevin, your amazon.com link seems to encourage people to buy this movie. Is that really what you are intending??
