Growing like a weed...

Hale had his 2 month check-up on Friday and just like I thought, he sure is getting big! He's weighing in at 13 lbs. 1 oz. and is 23 1/2 inches long!

I do...

Hale had the pleasure of visiting hallowed ground this evening - we took him to our wedding site, which by the way, is for sale at the bargain basement price of $254,000! Hale seemed to be very impressed by the whole experience, so much so that he cried when it was time to leave (or maybe that was just because he hates riding in the car)!

The Indiana Jordans are looking forward to welcoming Mom Jordan back home. Kevin will be picking her up at the airport tomorrow evening and Hale is so excited to see her - I wonder if she could be persuaded to make a stop at our house before heading home??

Last night Hale got his first (but not last) bedtime story: A Snowman Named Just Bob

It wasn't the happy-movie-ending reading, unfortunately, as Hale cried through half of the story. All was not lost, however, because I think Jill enjoyed listening to the story, and I know I enjoyed reading it.

The irony was not lost on us either, sweating in the heat reading a story about a snowman. Is anyone else looking forward to Fall and Winter? I am!

Have you seen him?

As Jill posted previously, my oldest brother Joe and his wife Jeanette had their third child on Friday: Brayden. Joe, using his new digital camera, has already posted a couple of pictures on his website of everyone - new and old.

My mother planned her trip to PA (where J&J live) perfectly, and apparently is enjoying herself quite a bit. But hurry back mom, Hale misses you!

Here's hoping everyone reading has a wonderful weekend!

It's a boy!

Congratulations to Kevin's brother, Joe and his wife, Jeanette, on the birth of their third child! Brayden Joseph Jordan was born today at 11:10 a.m. weighing in at 6 lbs., 12 oz. and 19 1/2 inches long. Mother and child are both resting comfortably while Grandma Jordan takes care of big sister Kaylea and big brother Ryan. The Pennsylvania Jordans have made July a busy month - Jeanette & Kaylea also have birthdays in July!

Boys night in

Kevin & Hale enjoyed their first "boys night in" together while I went shopping with a couple of friends. They have been alone before, of course, but not for an extended amount of time. But apparently all went well. Our sweet baby was sound asleep in his crib when Mommy got home and we didn't hear a peep from him the rest of the night. I guess all that playing with Daddy tuckered him out!

I found lots of cute things that I would have purchased for Hale, but his closet is already overflowing with lots of cute things from Nana, so I shopped for myself instead!! Thanks, Nana!

Well, the neighbors have finally fired off the last of their fireworks (thank goodness) and Dairy Queen has ended their holiday half-price sale (shucks). Hale made it successfully and pleasantly through his first Fourth of July! Our friends, Kent & Shelby Longenbaugh, hosted a cook-out at their house, most of which Hale slept through! Guess he was resting up for his visit with Nana & GrandBud, who came to visit on Saturday (of course, GrandBud took advantage of that half-price sale at DQ)!!

Hale took his first swim in a pool today - he seemed to really enjoy it and he looked SO CUTE in his Little Swimmers swimpants! Keep your eyes open for an album commemorating this big event!

Congratulations to Jessica, Scott and A.J. on the arrival of their three bundles of joy! Welcome to the world Isabella Rose, Arianna Renae and Sophia Irene. We're very anxious to meet you!

New pictures!

After a slight mishap with the photos (had a bad photo that messed things up) we have added 4 new albums to the site. These include the Old Settler's Days parade, which was a fun - albeit long - event for friends and family alike.

Among the photos you may also notice our friend Jessica and her son AJ (the boy in the blue hat). Well, on July 4th AJ got an Independance Day delight: three sisters! Congratulations to Jessica, Scott and AJ! As far as we know the triplet treats are doing terrific. There are fun times ahead for that crew.

Now, let me see - three girls born a month after our boy. For Hale's sake we'll keep track of them!

Big smiles!

Hale is changing every day, and from the looks of things, he's a happy kid! He has big smiles for us every day, especially right after diaper changes and feedings (who wouldn't be happy to have their pants changed and their bellies filled?)! Check out the new albums - coming soon - to see great pics of Hale's adorable grin...

We hope everyone has a safe and fun Fourth of July weekend! Kevin and I are looking forward to our first post-baby date, thanks to Nana & GrandBud who have given us movie tickets to enjoy. Could it be they are just trying to get rid of us so they can have their Hale Boy all to themselves??
