Thanks to Grandma Jordan, Hale and his baby cousin, Brayden, made their debut in the Columbia City Post & Mail (our local newspaper). Take a look for yourself at The Post & Mail under "Community." Thanks for putting together the announcements, Grandma! (And thanks for swinging Hale to sleep yesterday - he needed that nap!)

Ahhhh....a long holiday weekend is approaching and Hale is looking forward to visiting Nana & GrandBud. That is, if they ever get home! After two weeks in sunny Florida, they began the trek home last Saturday. Unfortunately, even new vehicles are suseptible to car trouble and they became stranded somewhere in Georgia. While waiting for replacement parts, they have passed the time by walking to a nearby Cracker Barrel, playing cards ($4 for a deck of cards - that's highway robbery!) and reading, thanks to a donation of books from Aunt Sue!

Anyway, we're anxiously awaiting their arrival home so we can visit for the long weekend. Hope you're ready for some company after your EXTRA LONG vacation, Nana & GrandBud!

Congratulations to my good friend, Lori, and her new husband, Dale as they begin their new married life together! It was a busy weekend in Shelbyville preparing for and attending the wedding. Hale handled the festivities with a sense of ease as we shuttled him around from place to place. He got to spend lots of quality time with his daddy, as well as his G.G., Great Aunt Bon and Cousin Shelli, who were kind enough to sacrifice a few hours on Saturday to stay with him during the wedding ceremony!

It was so great to see friends again this weekend. I love you guys!! Hope to see you all again very soon!

P.S. Hale & the puppies REALLY missed their Nana & GrandBud, who are still in Florida on vacation. It just wasn't the same being at their house without them. Kevin and I missed them, too!

Last night was our Sunday School class party, which we co-hosted at the local pool. It was two hours of fun, which included Hale's second swimming experience - but, the first with both mom and dad. He did great! It is my hope that he remains as open to swimming in the years to come as he was last night.

Of course, last night he had no choice!

Check out our latest pix of Hale and family. We're looking forward to some "action shots" as Hale gets older and begins moving around more, but for now, we think all these pictures of him just kickin' back are pretty cute! What do you think?
