Just wanted to alert you daily readers that we have a new picture album available. Check out pictures of Jackson and Brooks back at Aunt Jill's house, as well as pics of our New Years get-ups. Enjoy!
our family: January 2003 Archives
Well, it finally happened - Hale's first ear infection. Poor little guy has been battling a cold and teething, and now he has to put up with this nuisance. He's such a trooper, though, giving his doctor big smiles and "helping" her manuever her stethoscope! He was so smiley, in fact, that Nurse Bonnie was inclined to ask, "Are you sure he's sick?"
I'm sure he'll be fine after a week or so of antibiotics and TLC from Mommy & Daddy. Until then...
I think the stretch between New Year's and springtime is really a test of will. We get up to the darkness each morning, and eat dinner in the same. Work is... well, work.
So what can break up this monotony? Hale!!!
For the next month or two, Friday morning is swimming practice for Haley at the Huntington YMCA; Huntington is about 25 minutes away from where we live. This is the way to start your weekend, let me tell you! Other than the fact that I was the only dad there last week, it is a fun bunch of parents and kids singing silly songs and splashing about. Jill and I are both thankful we can go as a team.
One week we will remember our camera, so you can get the "real" feeling for what it is like through the pictures. Will the camera's pictures portray how cold the water was (last week)? Let us hope it doesn't have to!
This day, 31 years ago, my incredible parents were married and thus began their lifelong journey together. I'm so proud of them! I wish I could be there to celebrate with them, and to let them take us out to dinner with them!
Looking forward to seeing you this weekend, Mom & Dad!
Congratulations!!
While at Flip and Amy's home last evening we made a great discovery: Hale can now crawl! Before, the process was up on knees, rock back and forth, fall down on belly. Now it is up on knees, rock back and forth, and away we go!
Of course, we are very proud parents.
New albums have arrived at 348north.com. Check 'em out! They're great! They're stupendous! They're wonderful!
Enjoy...
Well, it's back to work today...for all of us. As Kevin is preparing to leave for the office this morning, I am awaiting the arrival of Jackson and Brooks. Hale is still sleeping soundly, but before too long, this house will be filled with the sounds of three young boys! It is such a rewarding (and exhausting) experience to spend the days with these little men. I am so fortunate to not have to put up with office politics, grouchy co-workers and all the other rigors of working outside the home. Thank you, Kevin, for making it possible!!
It has been a very relaxing and enjoyable two weeks of "vacation." I hope you all had a wonderful holiday. Yeah for 2003! And yeah for 2-hour school delays!
